Can we alter the chemistry of the oceans to save the climate? Our oceans offer a way to absorb carbon from the atmosphere, permanently storing emissions. But are we tempting fate by interfering with such a rich and complex ecosystem? Panelists debate the pros and cons.

The MaRS Climate Impact conference is a new innovation conference that brings together the global cleantech ecosystem.
The conference focuses on the most promising ideas and innovations that could help prevent the most disastrous consequences of climate change and build a cleaner economy.
This year, the conference will be held in downtown Toronto and online from November 29 to 30, 2023 and will feature interactive panel discussions, thought-provoking debates, company demos and more.
