Vernon Eville
Ocean Acoustic Specialist
Vernon joined the RIU team in January 2021. Having spent his recent career in the oil and gas industry, Vern is excited to return to Dalhousie in an effort to help monitor the Maritimes’ coastal environment.
After receiving his B.Eng from Dalhousie, he completed an A.Dip in Remote Sensing/GIS from COGS and an MEng in Geomatics Engineering from UNB, ultimately specializing in hydrography and oceanography. With an emphasis on multibeam and side scan sonar acoustics, Vern has participated in numerous missions for habitat mapping, charting, cable routes and geophysical surveys from the Arctic to the Caribbean.
